Forecastle is committed to safe and environmentally
Conscious operation by :
  • Avoiding damage to the environment and property, in particular to the marine environment.
  • Enhancing customer satisfaction by determining and meeting their requirements & compliances around Environment.
  • Forecastle’s environmental policy objectives are directed towards the reduction of identified environmental impacts on the atmosphere and marine environment due to its activities.
  • The Company recognises the importance of incorporating environmental issues into everyday business decisions and activities and monitoring appropriate technology and management practices which when addressed and reasonably practised, will enhance its environmental performance.
Environmental-Policy
In pursuit of the above objectives, the Forecastle will :
  • Operate, manage and maintain the company policy & objectives as per statutory, regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Prevent pollution, and protect the environment by reducing waste and minimising the consumption of resources.
  • Use sound and internationally accepted business ethics and principles.
  • Employ suitably qualified personnel with required certification for the trade in accordance with Industry and Customers requirements.
  • Provide for safe practices in providing consultancy services and establish safeguards against all identified risks by adequate contingency planning related to safety and environmental protection.
  • Comply with the relevant national and international rules and regulations and consider the applicable codes, guidelines and standards recommended by the relevant industry organisations.

Employee Health & Safety PolicyE

Forecastle is committed to remove or reduce the risks to the health, safety and welfare of all employees and anyone else who may be affected by the company’s business operations. We aim to ensure all work activities are done safely. Forecastle’s management will provide and maintain, as far as possible:
  • A safe working environment.
  • Safe systems of work.
  • Facilities for the welfare of employees.
  • Information, instruction, training and supervision that is reasonably necessary to ensure that each employee is safe from injury and risks to health.
  • A commitment to consult and co-operate with employees in all matters relating to health and safety in the workplace.
  • A commitment to continually improve our performance through effective safety management.
Employee-Health
Each employee has an obligation to:
  • Comply with safe work practices, with the intent of avoiding injury to themselves and others.
  • Take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves, and others.
  • Comply with any direction given by management for health and safety.
  • Report all accidents and incidents on the job immediately, no matter how trivial.
  • Report all known or observed hazards to their supervisor or manager

Drug and Alcohol PolicyD

The following fundamental principles regarding drugs and alcohol shall be enforced:
  • No employee shall, while at work or before proceeding to work is impaired by drug and/or alcohol.
  • All employees, including the management, may be subject to testing and screening for drugs and/or alcohol abuse during routine medical examinations.
  • The company defines “alcohol impairment” as having a blood alcohol content of 40 mg/100 ml or greater.
  • The misuse of legitimate drugs, or the use, possession of illicit or un-prescribed controlled drugs is strictly prohibited. Additionally, any use of a controlled substance, which causes or contributes to unsafe, unacceptable or unusual job performance is also prohibited.
  • Personnel must abstain from consuming alcohol AT LEAST 4 HOURS PRIOR to proceeding to work/ commencing work/work related attendance.
  • Abuse of alcohol, reporting for work or work-related assignments, impaired by alcohol or consuming alcohol is a breach of the Policy and is considered a severe offence for which disciplinary action leading to termination of employment will be instigated.
  • Any employee travelling on business must be vigilant so that they do not inadvertently get involved or not knowingly used as traffickers. Personnel is warned, not to accept any packages for deliveries to/from third parties, unless the contents, without doubt, been ascertained as drug-free. Even then it would be the sole responsibility of the individual concerned.
  • Full co-operation will be given to public authorities in the criminal prosecution of anyone using, possessing or smuggling illegal drugs or drugs paraphernalia.

Forecastle takes its relationship with all our stakeholders (customers & employees) very seriously; therefore, it is our policy to conduct all business in a very ethical manner. We perform our services with the objective that neither the company nor any of its customers are exposed to reputational risk.
All employees shall be guided by the following :
  • Strict observation of all local and international laws.
  • Maintain integrity & character.
  • Full and accurate records and reporting.
  • Will not support unscrupulous behaviour.
  • Open and honest communications with customers and management.
  • Honest book-keeping, proposals and evaluations.
  • Avoid practice of giving or receiving gifts even of nominal value.
  • All information collected from Customer shall be kept confidential and customer’s proprietary rights shall be protected.
  • The company will provide full cooperation to any Government body or customer investigating unscrupulous behaviour.
